    Default Front pads

Well, my sigbum is whinging at me for a new set of front brake pads now ( they have done 54k though ). How much should I be looking at for a set of these and can anyone recommend the best/cheapest place to purchase them from?

They will be for a 3.0cdti and i'm guessing the stealers price will be extortionate.

    Brucey,

They will be £65.00 + Vat from your local dealer if you buy them with the disc and pad kit..all changed for new..Labour would be on top, but it's dead easy to do..

Pads only are not a lot cheaper..in fact for 314mm disc's they are actually a pound more than buying the complete kit....

get your tape measure out, as there are 2 types.. 302mm and 314mm..

302's are 93186298 for the kit

314's are 93186299 for the kit..

3.0 V6 CDTI are fitted with 314mm front discs

54K miles is excellent, as my previous Vectra B SRi 140 was going through front pads every 40K miles, front discs every 80K miles, and complete rear pads, discs, and shoes every 30K miles (although the second was fitted free, as they suspected the wear was caused by a problem!)

not quite, early 3ltr v6's had 302's as well...so it'll be age dependant..but a tape measure is an easy check for diameter..

Buy the kit anyway, that way when you need new discs you have them already, the offer might not last until then.

Mines the other way around, £15 for the pads, and £88 for fitting, which I do myself cos it's simple like me.
