well after all the problems I had with my 2003 1.8 sri I decided it was time for a change so just bought a 2006 1.8 sri facelift think am asking for trouble hahaha with tight budget was my only option to be honest could not afforded anything newer

u do right mate the vvt engines seem to be troubke free bar the odd maf sensor ext

I have had my pre facelift now for 5 years done nearly 100k so can not complain really new one only done 55k so as long as it looked after will last me a while

yer must be lol new one needs 1 thing doing to it the black edging around wing mirror is cracked and a bit missing on drivers side so will need to replace that apart from that its a nice clean motor

Had my vvt now for 3years its never let me down. just do regular sevices and keep an eye on oil level.

Good choice had my 06 1.8 sri for 18 months can't fault it
