    Default Carbon Wrap Headlight Internals

Looking at possibly carbon wrapping my sri headlight internals instead of the standard black.

This is on a pre face lift.

My main concerns. Is it ok to wrap the reflector for the main beam projection?

Secondly will the wrap stay put after having lights on for a while I guess there will be a good amount of heat?

    Any advice would be brilliant.

Strip them and carbon dip them, more permanent that way...

carbon dip is extremely bad on flat areas. the smoked chrome areas bubbled within a few hours of fitting with lights on. really is annoying as i do like them

Yeah that's a shame! I thought they looked smart on eBay! But you can't be having that perhaps they need laquering after being dipped??

no the carbon dip was already a bit hit and miss in areas. Its the chrome bits that had been sprayed with tinting spray that had bubbled. This is why I asked about wrapping the internals. Will show less defects than carbon dipping.

take a look on the 4th picture. near the main beam

I never noticed that on the listing! Is a real shame coz they did look smart! Wrap would def take the heat but would be tricky to apply to that area!

Hope the eBay seller is being good and sorting you out mate!
