Maybe he was browsing through ppls feedback and seen you bought something he is interested in and wanting to know how it is?

It's in the class of fake/spoof/spam/phishing.

There's no statement of what your 'product' is... we all know that Op-Com is diagnostic software, so having a car 'with OPCOM' is a tiny bit impossible.

You could pass it to EBay as potentially fake.... ignore and delete... or reply in whatever manner you feel approrpiate, although that will merely confirm to the sender your email address, potentially for later/additional targetting.

Personally, I'd report it to EBay, then delete it.

I have no intentions of replying, but it is curious about the mention of a Vectra. Barring that it would have just be deleted.

I have been looking at a landrover emailed the guy and he then called me in Baku on my moby. No idea how he got my number but started waffling on about how we could do a deal of ebay. I said listen out of the country lets talk through ebay and hung up. Never heard anything since. Some weird people on there!
