Unhappy Sudden loss of ability to corner

    Hi Guys,

Hope someone might be able to point me in the right direction here. I got eibach pro-kit 30mm springs fitted about 8 months ago and a set of 18" BK wheels fitted about 1 month ago with some wider low profile tyres. The combination of these two meant my vectra was handling like it was on rails. Then about a week ago it seemed to suddenly loose the ability to corner at "quick" speeds. Going around corners at everyday speeds is okay but anything any quicker than average and the whole car starts to slide as if I've hit a patch of diesel . There is bucket loads of tread on the tyres, 3 of which are pirellis and I can't remember what make the fourth is. I haven't had chance to check all the springs yet but ride quailty hasn't dropped when not cornering. This also seems to happen regardless of the direction of the corner.....any ideas?

    Cheers

The roads around here are covered in layers of salt and sand
I am currently waiting for some serious rain to wash it all away

Could your tyres be contaminated with something? If you can maybe try and give them a blast with a jet washer.

Cheers guys, all of the above are possables I guess. I'm going to try and get it into the workshop tomorrow morning to check a few things but didn't really know where to start. There is a lot of cr*p on the roads around here at the moment so hopefully its down to that and nothing in borken, fingers crossed.

I've just thought you haven't recently had gender reassignment surgery and simply lost your ability to drive have you?

Any knocking sounds? Mine is a bit like that and it's a combination of worn bushes at the back and the upper control arms. Like you, first noticed after having a '****** me' moment going round a corner a touch quickly. Then noticed it on the motorway going round a corner that it normally tackles with the cruise on at 70 - the back felt all twitchy and floaty.
