    Remove expansion cap.

turn heat upto full on heater an fans off

start car an run upto temp whilst pumping bottom rad hose.

chances are its just an air lock if its only been since thermostat change

i wouldnt have thought so fella the antifreeze mix would have to be seriously dirty to clog up a heater matrix... you either have a air lock or the controls for the heating aint working

When the engine is hot feel the two pipes to and from the heater they should be hot, if not you have a lack of flow through the heater rad, if hot, you may have to get under the dash (passengers side) and see if the heater flaps are moving through there full motion whilst moving the heater from hot to cold and back, have had a few motors fail and the gears break not allowing full movement.

Hi thanks for your reply, the flap is working I've tried it. However the I've felt the 2 pipes to and from the heater and they are cold. So it is the heater matrix???
