I used to use 5w30 fully synth
Surly this one with same offer:

imo if the dti is high mileage the 10/40 will be better... & yes i did use 10/40 in all my previous dti's
cheers for the replies guys. doing a bit of research it sounds like the majority of owners seem to use 10W40 in their DTIs, mine has done over 110k miles now. Think the stuff that's in there at the moment is 5W30 though. will I be alright to swap the grade as long as i'm doing a full change, or am I best sticking with 5W30?
GM 5w30 is the correct oil for this engine
In the 6 years i have owned my 2.0dti i have used 10w40 semi synth without any issues and the car has done 118 thou of which 30 odd i have done,if you are servicing the car yourself then drop the oil every 6 months and you'll be cookin with gas,if however the car is being serviced using the eco flex system then one should use fully synth 5w30 and drop every 20 thou...but remember 10w40 semi is much cheaper than 5w30 fully synth..hth
I was recommended 0w30 fully for my 2.0t siggy, so thats what i used. Hope thats ok?
