Interior lighting/bulbs

Hi guys, I noticed there seems to be a lack of interior lighting in my vec. Could someone please tell me what and where I should have working interior and boot lights. the only one I have working is the main interior roof light. I want to get all the bulbs needed (can look up the right ones) just need to know where there should be working lights/bulbs. The car is a 2005 pre-facelift sri. cheers.

Glove Box (1), Boot (1), Front above Interior Mirror 2 or 4 (depends on trim level as to how many and type) and possibly rear passenger area (depends on trim level could be 2)

Thnks for the quick reply woodpeck. I have the 2 in the front roof light but that's it. theres no light in the back seat area at all. Is there no light in the ashtray?

I don't think there is a light in the ashtray itself, but if you dismantle the surround, you will probably find a power feed for a bulb which is part of the cigarette lighter and which helps illuminate the ashtray.

I forgot to mention that you can do a straight swap for the 4 lamp front interior unit if you can find one on ebay. Also, higher spec versions had illuminated vanity mirrors in the sun visors.

Nothing to stop you retrofitting a rear lamp unit either although you would need to be precise with your cutting of the headling and have some wiring skills (sililarly with the sunvisor lighting)

The facelift models started to get even more scary with what Vx cut out as they went on their cost cutting "plan" at that time.
