astra 2.0t

am thinking of cars to buy as a second instead if doing uo the vectra. I used to have a astra g coupe turbo 200bhp and loved it was in scrap yard today and seen one and thought I want one but now looking I want a astra h 2.0t 170 with around 70 80k on clock and 3 door not bothered it design or Sri as woo do it up slightly. anyone had any experiences with them.

Just be aware it's not the same engine as in the Vec-C, it's a much older engine design, iron block instead of aluminium, and belt driven instead of chain.

it looks the exact same engine block that was in my I'd astra g coupe turbo but with 200bhp

I think that's the z20lel (170) which is near enough the same as the z20ler and z20let (200) except for map. With a stage one map you should see 240bhp. Add a zorst and it should go well. The z20leh (vxr lump) has better internals and turbo. I guess you could fit the vxr turbo with the correct mapping.

yea mine was a let with a catback and went like a rocket made the misses cry anyways lol. I do like the vectra but I have a vectra and I quite like the astras even tho there little more expensive

so if you got the astra, map it and add a good turbo back exhaust you could see 250/260bhp..... nice little sleeper car

How much you got to spend? Why not go retro?

think my budget will be around 3.5 3k not really into retro like a car that's a nice place to be and modern lol
