Glow plugs are pretty straight forward if you prepare correctly.
Warm the engine to normal temp then turn off and leave for 5-10 mins.
From inlet manifold,
Loosen (remove bolts) from EGR Valve,
Loosen (remove bolts) from Fuel compensation block,
loosen fuel pipe unions that cover any glow plugs,
This allows access to the glow plugs down the back of the inlet manifold
without stripping loads of stuff off the engine.
Use the smaller 3/8th socket set and 10mm deep reach, this stops you putting too much pressure on the glow plug and snapping it.
If its tough to remove soak with your favourite penetrating oil (I use Wurth Rost Off) leave for a few hours.
Make sure you are fully square on the glow plug with the deep reach socket and not at an angle when removing them to reduce the risk of damage to the plug.
If the plug has been fully turned out of the head but refuses to lift out there's residue on the plug tip stopping it from being pulled out,
spray some carb cleaner down past the threads and allow to soak for a few mins the try to remove again twisting it to break up the crud on the tip,
don't start angling the plug over left and right trying to get it out twist upwards only.
Dont rush these steps if they are difficult to remove as a little patience saves a lot of your money if you snap one.
Have fun
