    I'm looking for new engine oil for my 1.9CDTI 150, not sure which one i should go for, standard GM ones or other branded ones.

    I have just bought the first one (genuine VX) in the links from Ebay for £22.50 delivered. I would prefer the manufacturer's intended oils rather than an equivalent.

    Own brand oils are the basic option, they are made to meet a spec rather than exceed it. What to go for really comes down to budget, any issues with the engine that you want to address and how well you want to look after the car.

    The AF is a Ford spec oil, so is designed to break down to a thinner grade fairly quickly, to give better fuel economy. The AG is a GM spec and it's designed for the GM longlife service schedules. The members discount gives you 10% off the site prices.
