Anthroscopy?

Managed to damage my knee playing squash last year and I'm getting it sorted this Monday by keyhole.
I'm getting my torn cartlidge repaired and they are going to investigate possible ligament damage, it didn't show up properly on MRI due to fluid, so more than likely needing that repaired too..
So my questions;

Who has had an arthroscopy, what did you get done and how long were you off work for?

Had one on left knee years ago, small scar each side of my knee cap & felt better the moment I woke up & left the sticks at the hospital. In & out in a day, took 3 days off work - mainly because I could. Nothing to worry about on it if you are in pain at the moment, you will probably feel a lot better straight after pal.

Had it in my shoulder a few years ago, they found I'd dislocated my shoulder and torn out all the cartilage, I've now got a metal clip holding it all together.
Pain was bearable and only took a week to heal, but due to the heavy lifting in my job (land rover technician at the time) I had about 3 weeks off and wished I was at work within a week
ine got one scar about 1" long and one about 1/2" long.
