Whine when slowing

Over the last couple of weeks i've noticed that when slowing down (just decelerating) that there is a whine coming from the front of the car, I can't tell if it's coming from the engine itself or something else. It only does it with the clutch up, when I dip it the sound goes. There is no other issues eg dmf rattle etc. Anyone got any ideas what It might be?

Could be a gearbox fault, might be worth checking the oil level? Tho if low it could of already done some damage.

Does it do it in all gears?? Also only when your moving? Eg-not de accellerating on idle

How do you check the oil level on these? its the 1.9.
I've only really noticed it in 3rd gear to be honest, but its only when i've been around 30-20 mph. It might do it in other gears aswell, i'll check tomorrow

Is it possible that a wheel bearing can cause this? I've noticed a slight rumble when going over rough ground and steering right and the car also pulls to the right (tracking is fine and definitely not the drop links and all other suspension parts seem fine)

Checked this and it does it in gears 3 and 4 and only between 20-30mph. Also noticed it only does it once it's been driving for a while, not right away. Compacted with that it is tramlining aswell, considering the possibility of tyres being knackered? Still got a dull knock from the front nearside and can't figure out what it is
