Default Back on the road on Friday!

    February 2013

The car is coming out a month early! So only 3 days now and she is out!

So the next job will be to fit this lot!

A complete set of new wheel arch liners and covers! Mine are all very stained and not looking good, it has bugged me for nearly three years!

The next thing ordered was this :-

A fully tailored 'Prestige model' cover the the car from http://specialisedcovers-px.rtrk.co.uk/

Yes I know, the picture shows an Aston!! but mine will have red sides, a black top with silver piping and a silver embroided Vauxhall logo on the bonnet.

Should take 3-4 weeks to have made.

So looking forward to getting back out in it!!

Wow a fully custom car condom! Dare I ask how much that wil cost? What's it made out of and what are the advantages of having one over storing it in a clean dry garage?

It isn't cheap!! I don't normally like to say about costs, but it is on the website. Mine has cost £300, well £299 if you want to be exact.

They do the prestige lite version, which is for occasional indoor use, and is pretty much a single layer of microfibre cloth.

The Prestige version, which I have gone for is made up of two layers - a tightly woven, stretchy, luxury Cotton fabric to shield from dust and dirt, then a thick fleecy, non-abrasive inner to protect the car’s paintwork.

I then have had the Vauxhall Logo embroided on top of the bonnet.

Today's job consisted of giving the underside a clean and fitting the new wheel arch liners.

    So up she went!

    All 4 wheels off

    Fitted these :-

Then gave the underside a good clean

I then decided to revert back to the 18's. I like the OPC/Early Zafira GSi wheels, but just prefer the 18's. So they are now back on!

Now she is back on the road, she is going in to Classic Car Services hopefully in April/May to have the Dash and roof lid done, and maybe the roll bar as well.

    Good job :-)

I like those gsi wheels! I love the look of 18s but the comfort of 17s, with the state of our roads wins out!

Nice motor that too! Tried to convince the mrs to get one ages ago but she was having none of it!

There is no difference in harshness between the 17's and 18's.

I know I've drooled over your car many times before but I struggle to think of a single car that I've seen on the forum that I'd rather have! Can you just tel me your exact address and security arrangements please!
