Yes Paul. @antowens is a good go-getter as far as organising meets, but he also used to have an ideal business works location too, somewhere where members could meet and work on their cars, inside a warehouse if needed.
Unfortunately that facility has now been withdrawn and so I wonder if anyone else has an alternative indoor environment for when the weather is unkind ? Otherwise I fear that we are back to meeting in pub carparks or the likes unless you know differently ?
As a result, these meetings will tend to be more of a social "chat and look" arrangement than anything else until the "Summer" comes along and so might well attract fewer visitors.
Just my viewpoint, not anyone elses mate
Would love for it to be different though
Woody
its quiet correcr what ya sayin mate can always use my unit thats not a prob the only reall one is it isnt that big after movin again lmao would be nice to have somewhere like this to meet mate
I could maybe organise a date where gets the exclusive use of the ramp hire place for day.
obvisously would have to speak to owner and arrange prices and stuff.
but maybe one for future.
its got 3 ramps so it could be worth every chipping in if enough work needed doing.
Could always see about the ingelton round 2 meet?
could do mate this time might have to have it at that a59 cafe as last time alk the walkers was very annoyed with us i think lol
juat read ya response critch sounds a good idea that mate
That sounds like an option worth exploring Critch . He might not be prepared to do the job for less than commercial rates though and so for you to book it at £10 per hour for 3 ramps for say 4 hours, might seem a bit "expensive" at what would be £120 for maybe half a dozen members on a Sunday, but maybe not, I guess it would be down to what they wanted to do
Granted though, you can bet the landlord would be likely to have a different view altogether as to what was a viable "deal" as far as we might be concerned BUT the idea certainly has to be worth exploring and pricing fella !
Its was a pub meet and was also my first ever meet i did as the ro for yorkshire
