    Default how do you dismantle a door switch

    could someone please tell me how you open the door switch to clean contacts the window on passenger side don't work thanks.

    If you haven't got it out the door, then it's just a case of using a very thin bladed screwdriver, or similar, to gently pop it out of the door panel. May well be worth using an old rag to protect the surrounding rubberised finish from damage.

    Once you have the switch out, it's just a case of very carefully prising the sides of the switch out very slightly in order to disengage the little retaining clips/lugs that hold it all together. It's a wee bit fiddly to do, but not too bad.

    No worries. As I say, it can be a wee bit fiddly to disengage all the clips and get both sides loose without one side popping back in again. If you have a go you'll probably see what I mean!

    Fair point. They don't all have screws though, depends on the switch you have.
