Any idea what this is?

I have a wiring loom bracket removed from the engine at prestent and have the below under the bolt that goes up to my bolt for the ignition coil.



Without the bracket I can't help feeling something is missing. It looks like an ground point but for what?
Its a metal strip thats runs from right side bolt under ignition coil to right side rear bolt for ignition loom
Nothing seems to have gone wrong since it has been off.
Anyone know what it is for and why it goes from my coil bolt to the end of the cylinder head?

Just an earth point iirc... Should have a nut in, that copper strip runs under the coil pack.

Sorry, thought it would get better response in here.

Do you think it matters that there is no bolt the other end?
There is no cable that should be attached to the cylinder head end is there?
Just want to make sure I am OK with the bracket still removed, and trying to make sure it it not causing my misfire (which I doubt).
