Where can i buy a new vx or pattern egr valve for 2.2 direct (z22yh) 04 reg

Been trying to buy a new EGR Valve from Vauxhall for my 2.2. Direct (04 reg).They no longer make them so have been trying to buy a new pattern part but still no luck.Can only find the odd secondhand one on EBAY but that seems a bit of a gamble.Can anyone help.

Strange I just found over 10 suppliers on Google plus my parts supplier also stocks it, @ 200 quid.

Have you tried cleaning it before buying a new one ?

best bet is it blank and remove, but this needs tech2 updates, but still cheaper than £200

I blanked the one on my 2.2 astra off with a blanking plate and then machined the head off the piston. Looks like an ege but does sod all lol. Cost less than £5 quid to do and no more egr aggro

Explain a little more about what you did.Is the 2.2 Astra engine a Z22YH the same as in the 2.2.Direct Vectra C. Problem as i have explained is i can't get a new valve from VX because they longer make it,nobody seems to make a pattern, and i'm being told by blanking off the remapping of ECU often does not put out the lights.Wits end what to do.
