Default What shows up on a crb check

Evening All, I might need to be CRB checked and wondering would this be a fail. August/Spet 2010 I was drunk on the train going into Liverpool with my mate and long story short I paid from the wrong station and they had these revenues people at the station and got a letter thru months later from Magistrates Court. I said I was guilty and got fined now will this show on a CRB and would it stop me from working in the NHS?

Have a read about it :

    https://www.gov.uk/crb-criminal-reco...check/overview

Personally, I doubt if that event would be a huge problem assuming it was a one-off, non-violent and you are otherwise an total angel.

Thing is, the level of check will depend on the work you'd be doing and as such what is acceptable or not will also vary.

Basic rule though, is to not try to hide anything.... you WILL be found out and that is often grounds for dismissal.

I would have thought if it is to work for the NHS, they will be looking for violence and abuse of children, adults or disabled.

The CRB check tells the employer if you have a criminal record. As your conviction does not relate to your work I don't think you need worry. The enhanced CRB will detail any intelligence on file. I.e Mr x was questioned regarding taking lots of photos of vectras

    What he said ^^^^^
Also it's not something you pass or fail, it just gives the employer information on which to make their decision about your suitability for that particular job.
If the offence isn't relvant then it shouldn't stop you getting it.

Be up front about it, as said it will probably make no difference. If you do not tell it is quite often instant dismissal when they do find out. The way they look at it is , what else is he lying about or hiding from us.
