I wonder how much it costs to produce Top Gear ?

The whole show and the presenters , guests , etc

Is the reason there are only about 7 or 8 episodes per series because of the costs of flying around the world , insuring millions of pounds of vehicles , buying in Hollywood stars or they might be free , if they are plugging their latest film or book .

I thought Top Gear was the flagship of BBC 2 .

I wonder how Eastenders budget compares to Top Gear ?
