    Default What to look out for when buying a vectra vxr

    Found this http://www.stratstone.com/VehicleSea...s=False&type=1 To me it seems a bargain at the miles on it. think I will be trading in the honda civic for sure ye running costs will be higher but I'm sure the grin will out way the negatives what relistic mpg are you vxr guys getting on shortish runs

    Im looking for a vxr aswell but hap a silver xp 1 before so wouldnt get another one, looks nice though. Make sure it has fsh, any recall work done would be ideal aswell, good mileage aswell.

    Ye mate mileage is good I'm very tempted to call them tomorrow.its just what the running costs are are my concern.

    Better to go to vxronline and ask on there plenty of vec vxr owners to give you advice

    the vectra vxr is a great car but is heavy on fuel on short runs or around town, and some of the parts are exspensive you could do with buying one from a garage to get warrenty because some of them are getting timing chain issues which are silly money to fix.make sure you get one with full history and as much spec as you can.

    Lovely looking car, but again, if running costs are at all a concern it's probably not the car for you, it's not just going to be thirsty on fuel, the tax is £400+ a year and the cost of parts have to be considered.
