    Default Help needed injector seals

Hi everyone. Seeking advice please. I've just changed the injector seals and replaced injectors however the second one (from the left) is really blowing out fluid. Been advised need to recut the seats to get a better seal. Can anyone please advise. Vehicle is vectra 1.9cdti sri nav. Z19dth. Thanks

Just take the second off and re clean and seal... had to do my 3rd again as didn't seal right first time...

I just used carb cleaner, rag and a 8mm socket. Popped it down the injector hole and gave it a few spins, then you can suck all the crap out with a bit of garden hose taped to your vac

My top tip & ive always done this for 25yrs plus! & has never failed me is, Clean hole as above with vacuum cleaner & piece of garden hose, but smear the copper washer with grease put that side onto/facing injector, Then smear under side of washer facing engine, the washer sticks to injector to help placement & when started ONLY let the engine tickover whilst you tidy up & put all your tools away!, the grease will have a sealing effect whilst engine gets hot,

Never tried copper grease so couldn't say, Ive only ever used a thicker normal grease (such type used for wheel bearings or propshaft UJ'S), Never had one fail & ive had my 150 injectors out at least 3 times without changing the washers/seals!!, Oh & its an 04 rg so there nearly 9yrs old! ( never been re seated or cut or whatever, just sucked debris out with vacumm & hose, Been out due to other symptoms & swap rounds to rule out injector/cylinder faults.

Thank you very much. Will do a quick google search for wheel bearing grease to see what stuff I need. Unless you can specify a specific name of stuff you use. Any tips on getting a really stuck in injector out. Can get three out just not the first one on left.

Ive not had any 'really' stuck but just use two 1/2 socket extensions to pry out, Any thick'ish grease no brand as such, id be tempted to ask friends or neighbours most people have
grease if they mess with cars, you only need a small amount so you maybe able to scrounge a bit.

Thanks very much for a very useful tip. Initially I tried copper grease but still had a leak. Took everything back out cleaned it up and used CV grease and everything's perfect.
