Default LPG - Spark Plug Advice ?

    Hi to the LPG fraternity

Ok, I got my car ready converted just under a year ago. Now I am working on getting a full service done, including filters and spark plugs. After that, I'm going to get the car checked over by an LPG service agent (filter/safety).

So, can I have some suggestions as to the "best" type, make of Spark Plugs I should be using ?

I have a 3.2 preface (not that I would think should make much of a difference compared to facelifts) and an auto box.

I can see "Iridium" plugs all over ebay, but am sure most of that and the price is "hype".

So, can you help with some useful replacement spark plug advice fellas ?

    Cheers

    Woody

I lookedinto this to see if it would make any difference. Pretty much everyone with any real knowledge said keep using the ones recommended by the manufacturer.

Ones which claim to offer better mpg etc are just not worth the money. Just my findings when asking the same as you.

BTW I always used NGK ones in my 2.0 T

I'd see what the LPG guy says tbh, its a specialist area and no dealer is going to know anything about it.

Lpg burns alot hotter then petrol standard plugs arnt really up for the job ngk do a plug that operates at a hotter temp than standard ones hence works better and a less likely chance of breaking down due to faulty burnt out plugs I've owned several 4 litre Lpg jeeps before and found saving a fiver by buying standard plugs don't work in the long run

i got these for my 1.8 dual fuel last year:

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4x-NGK-LAS...item2573c4d358

i've always used NGK and have alot of faith in them. These sparks worked better than ordinary spark plugs in my opinion.

I've been told that NGK only sell one plug specifically aimed at LPG, and that is their LPG1 model.
