Mine is exactly the same - 2004 SRi 2.2, nearside headlight and foglight both misting up regularly. Been fobbed off by one local Vauxhall dealer, but I'm going to phone Vauxhall customer care to complian before my warranty is up....
took mine in last week, they told me there is issues with the headlights but mine are under the tolerances
yea big fob off
I've had this Vectra since it was 6 months old, and the headlights/foglights have never misted previously (believe me, I would have noticed - I wash this car very regularly).
So I can't understand now why they should be misting up; something must have changed?
So what do the stealers define as 'tolerances'?
Sounds like an excuse to avoid paying out for a manufacturing fault to me......
yep seems a common fault,my nearside fog has condensation in it.have read on previous threads..try using a hairdryer on it to clear...if not its bk to the stealers to sort
Are you jet washing your vehicle?
I was just about to say the same thing - i've only had condensation once, and that was after using the pressure washer at work.
Mine cleared in a couple of hours though.....
Nah, wash it by hand when the other 'arf is nagging (gets me out of the house).
It's very common at this time of year
Normally it is caused when the glass is very cold and the water used is very hot, in cold air
The glass then ends up being heated on one side and cools on the other side
The glass then cools rapidly from the air, and this causes the condensation on the dry side
The solution is to wash the car using cool or warm water only, if the air temperature is cold
The other cause is from using a jet wash, as this water passing over the glass also heats it up
