Side lights ? Hope you're not thinking of LED's ? If you are, then you are opening up a minefield of experiences.
Why don't you just do a "search" on the forum, there must be hundreds of threads on this ?
Basically, Vectras don't work too well with LED's which are not really bright enough anyway to work as side-lights IMO. You will have to deal with bulbs that don't light the road too well, bulbs that trigger failure warning messages, and bulbs that strobe when they are off but when you are driving.
So ordinary bulbs are probably best, and as for which types, just do some searching on the forum using the search function fella HTH

Well fella, having seen (or rather I didn't see them because they weren't at all bright in daylight) some LED varieties, I chose these bulbs for mine.

Don't get too excited fella, they are only sidelight bulbs after all , but they were brighter in daylight than the LED's on the other Vectras I compared with, and they don't strobe (because they are genuine bulbs) Forget any reference to Renault, these work fine fella and the sellers stock the self same bulbs for all car models, just different codes at the same price, I spoke to them on the phone and got these for my Gsi -

    Cheers and happy ebaying matey

See the above post. Those bulbs will be fine in your motor fella. Got them in my Vectra 3.2 Gsi and they are fine (definitely NO ERRORS because they are Bulbs NOT LED's).

Try to imagine changing the 100 watt bulb in your living room fella. The guy next door has the same bulb but a different living room.

The important bit is the bulb type. In your case a W5W bulb for sidelights. Any W5W bulb should work no problems, it's only the colour of the light you are interested in, and also if it an LED , or a standard bulb.

The one I posted a link to is what I bought and fitted to my car fella, and it isn't a "bad light colour" compared to my HID's either and is a standard bulb too

Woody when your down ill show you my side lights see if you still agree that their not as bright lol

ive got 15 tower smds as side lights and they've got to be at least 5 times as bright as standard bulb

granted they flash when turned off but I always drive with car in atleast side lights so not too fussed
