Boot Release

When I go to open the boot on my signum, I press the button on the drivers door, it beeps but nothing when i go to open the actual boot, could it be the electric boot release??

If so does anyone have one spare?? Cheers

Hi sorry to jump on but I also have this problem on my vectra c, also I have to lock and unlock remotely to unlock boot after I've been driving...

It is usually a problem with the microswitch in the boot handle. There is a how to somewhere that tells you what to do to sort it. Try this first.

Just buy a new switch and that's the main problem sorted out. About £25 off eBay.

Take it out, clean it and reassemble. Costs nothing.

Undo bolts for switch handle from inside of boot. It's a pain to get cover back on. My switch wasn't dirty but one of wires had snapped.

The vec estate (not sure on signums) has a small plastic cover on inside that has a large screwdriver slot to allow you to open it.
If no noises it's the switch so needs a clean or connection done in.
Doesn't usually need a new switch just some TLC.
While in there remove n regrease main lock
