I added the wiring for it. The pic above shows the heated seat switch connections. There is. Repair kit you can by from the dealers that has the connection requirdd, you just extend the wires and splice into the headunit multiplug as per the how2. It does require tech2 activation though.

Damm , so near and yet so far LOL. I've just been down and checked and those cables are there on mine too but I guess if Nige says they are for heated seat switches in the rear, then as he has done the retrofit, he should know

Oh well, these things are set to try us.

Nige, is any of the necessary wiring going to be there already, or is it going to need fitting from the rear all the way to the headunit ?

    Cheers lads

Thanks fella, I've just come off the phone speaking with someone who has just said the same thing.

Looks like this mod could be going ahead after all

Thanks to all for your assistance here.

Green and brown plugs are for the rear heated seat switches, small black one is for the rear cigarette lighter, long grey one is for the twin audio unit.

Thanks Ian, unfortunately i don't seem to have that wiring. Having said that, it's only a halfcan car with an NCDC unit in so I suspect it wasn't even dreamed of back when it was being built.
    Cheers

Mine's a 2004 half-can that was fitted with the basic head unit, but I spec'd the twin audio as an option when I ordered the car.

Old pic (pre-LED change) but this is the lot when it's in.

Thanks Ian. As a matter of interest, what was or is the headunit model that was supplied when new and worked with rear twin audio ?
