    Default What bhp

I read somewhere that you can tell if a vectra is 120 or 150 by the location of the oil filler cap and just wondering of its right or not?

If not is there a way to tell from just looking as loads of things say my vec is 3.0l like insurance websites etc which I know is wrong just my mpg seem to be low for 120

Thats true yes, how ever the badge is a give away too, like the 120's will be CDTI all in silver and the 150's will be CD And the TI will be RED, a my car check on a free downloaded app on you mobile will and should tell you the bhp figures also mate, hope this helps a tad?

App shows it as a 3.0l cdti with 178bhp

Is it right in if oil filler cap is on the right it's the 150 and left for 120?

Yes. The way to tell 100% is by looking at the engine. Badges can get changed easily so dont go by that. Oil filler on the far right is a 150. Filler on the left 120. (standing infront of the car)

    Y (177bhp) and Z30dt (184bhp) engines look very similar.

Very true it was for a rough guideline ( comment about the badges ) as youve said though checking the engine is a 100% deffo answer.
