Default Swapped frip key case, key opening a bit limp....

    Afternoon all!

Fitted my new key case today and in don't think I've got the spring right. In the original there is a little nick that's not there in the copy... Do I just add that in or is there something I'm missing..

I had similar problems the first time I tried to assemble one of these.
I think I found that 3 complete turns of the spring were the ideal -pre-tensioner needs, then I found the blade locking pin was protruding ever so fractionally from one side (and catching on the plastics), it just needed "tweaking" so it was perfectly flush.

Well mate, the one I have is a Chinese copy used to convert from a non flip to flip, has a lug on it.

I can't see how it can work without one really, however, it may be that you haven't understood its design properly perhaps ?

If you have, then it either appears to be missing a vital part, or is faulty IMO.

If I were you I would be contacting the seller and asking for a replacement now mate.

Mine is fine mate. It's the flip key conversion variety so is screwed together rather than glued (you need to take it apart to change the battery). A slightly different design and a fraction larger with no slide off battery cover, but at a quick glance looks 100% original and works very well indeed
