k&n panel filter, air box mod, full ss exhaust remove the cat and center box and make it dual exit.
Cool, sorry what's the air box mod?
Remove the engine and drop a 3.2i V6 lump in.
Haha must be easier mods ;-)
when you remove the filter there is what look's like a cone just pull it out
What's this the petrol head invasion of the diesel section? You stay on your side of the forum :P
In my airbox, I removed the lower trumpet and sliced a section off the top one.
A stainless exhaust can be tuned to give any desired sound, so it is important to go somewhere decent and preferably a place that will let you try a couple of different tip sizes.
Those are mainly appearance and sound mods though, not performance enhancing on their own.
Removing the catalyser greatly helped my DTi to climb up revs, but CDTis also have a particle filter, so not sure it would be a great help (it may even harm the DPF).
Other than that, changing the back boxe(s) will of course be mostly cosmetic, but they can also add some grunt (my Irmys really do).
In the UK, only estates and Signums have DPFs. The catalyst is required for proper DPF regeneration, but if there's no DPF then removing the catalyst is safe.
Other than that; airbox mods as Nutron suggested and remap give big performance gains for small outlay, then perhaps a hybrid turbo (and a decent remap to go with that!).
Ok thanks for the tips guys..no one used or use a tuning box?
