Vectra c steering rack dashboard steering wheel

Hi I have had my steering rack and track rod ends replaced on my 52 plate Vectra c for its Mot which it has passed.Problem is the steering wheel has lit up on the dashboard the mechanic says it just needs to be on the computer to remove this,i am not sure about this as when driving it seems a bit slightly stiff any ideas about this.Regards Martin.

Have they done wheel alignment properly

it may be lit up because of the steering angle sensor.

have you checked fluid?

i got to get mine done for the next MOT, how much did it set you back?

This is your problem.

Check (and top up) your Power Steering fluid, the steering wheel warning light will go out and you'll get your steering back.

i got to get mine done for the next MOT, how much did it set you back? I have a friend mechanic he got it for £140 vat included, track rod ends £10 each.
