    Default Windscreen Help

    Got a BIG!! crack right up the middle of the windscreen this evening ...can anyone recommend a good company Local to Dartford Kent who can supply a replacement tomorrow....also what Windscreen should I go for (If indeed there's a choice )

    depending on what screen you already have will depend on what you can fit.. I'd fit the same again so as not to upset the sunshine sensor on the dash if you've got CC..

    Autoglass just quoted me £756.47 inc VAT I don't know whether to laugh or cry........

    If you are insured fully comp you can get a new windscreen for the price of your glass excess (usually around £50 or £60) ... it doesn't affect your no claims either.

    It's a company car...so not too bothered....just really think they are taking the p**s..... begrudge paying that....

    ahh ok ... have you tried the other windscreen companies or are you tied into AutoGlass?

    £ 756.47, I think their pulling your leg. Our Ford Transit has had a new one for £ 100 inc vat and how big are they.

    Sorry I've just re-read your original post what a stupid question!... sorry ... only other company I would be able to suggest would be RAC Auto Windscreens as DannySport says.
