Yes I do agree, as I wasn't expecting the quality to be that bad, but it still stinks that a 12 month warranty accounts for nothing 45 days later if the company chooses just to ignore it, safety item or not

Leave them feedback echoing what you've said.
Maybe put a link to this thread in there as well.
I've just seen this thread, I had hassle with a wishbone I'd bought from them. The boot split after only a couple of months. Contacted them and they said that it was a fault due to fitting??? Will never use them again, terrible service and incredibly poor quality parts. I'll stick to buying from the local motor factors who are always happy to help and will exchange anything without any questions
I agree with the above. Buy quality bearings.
I used a similar ebay dealer (AAPOLDHAM) for rear wheel bearings last year and I think I am going to have to replace at least one of them again this year, but waiting for nicer weather first.
I found Vauxhall prices to be very high, Circa £120 per hub, thats why I bought cheap.

I've never understood why people buy safety-critical car parts on ebay... You can't verify where they come from, it's hugely easy for the seller to vanish, and realistically you have no comeback on any future problems at all.
When it comes to brakes, bearings, tyres and suspension - even if it is more expensive, get them from a reputable dealer. You're only here once after all. If saving a few quid is that critical, you might have to reconsider if you can afford to run a car at all.
Probably about 99% of spares i buy are genuine vx I only went this route as the genuine bearing was way over priced in my opinion at the time, in retrospect I should have just done it, but hindsight is brilliant. Before I give up running my car I think I would have to get rid of the second one I have and consider spending less on my 3 motorcycles!!

Over £120 for a rear hub from Vauxhall or £40 to £50 from ebay.
For all I knew/know it could have been exactly the same part from the same manufacturer.
Thats why Dealers are sometimes called Stealers.
Tyres, for example, are easier to judge, lots of reviews, but I never found a review for rear hubs.
I didn't say go to the main dealer, but just somewhere reputable. ECP, GSF, even your local bearing dealer. If you can get the SKF part number for the bearing itself, you'll more than likely get it for super cheap from a proper bearing supplier. It's not as 'easy' as just clicking "order" on ebay, but the likelihood of you getting something original and of decent quality is a lot higher.
I needed a wheel bearing for a car I had years ago, from the dealer it was £45, from a bearings supplier it was £15. Both were the same SKF part, with the same SKF part number as the one that was currently on the car. The bearings supplier was an accredited SKF dealer, so it was obviously genuine SKF parts. Buying from ebay is a game of chance - just because someone shows a photo of an SKF bearing or a LUK clutch or whatever, doesn't necessarily mean that is what you're going to be getting.
