    Default My car had its MOT today, and.........

    ..... it FAILED!!!

    To be honest, I wasnt too dissapointed, as it only failed on:
    • a broken spring;
    • wrong colour indicator bulb at the rear;
    • number plate bulb not working.

    Not bad for an 05-reg!

    Couple of advisories as brakes running low and one tyre low but thats general maintenance.

    Had it checked at 11am this morning, came out with the failure notice, did the work and went back at 5pm......and guess what happened then...........

    IT PASSED.

    Happy days!!

    Nice one.

    Have to admit, wish I had a set of spring compressors, as it could have saved me about £120 in labour to fit two new springs to the front of mine last week. Should really just buy a set, as it probably won't be long before one breaks again!

    Could have been a white bulb in a clear lens?

    Why don't you buy some - if you paid £40 for a good set - you would still have saved £80 - and you have them for future jobs

    My old Renault Scenic used to fail on this every year....the bulbs lose their orange colour and fade to nearly clear....not officially orange enough :-)
