Skooby will cost a fortune on fuel. Have owned an x type petrol while in law had a sti remapped.
depends what you want from your motor,if you want an everyday car then he jag it is.....for sheer fun and smile on your face,then scooby is the way to go.
then think of running/repair costs...tax...insurance etc.
ultimatley it's what you want from a car that matters
As said the jag uses a mondeo chassis and running gear. And the 2.0 diesel is the duratorque from a mondeo which is actually a pretty decent engine and pulls well. Its a 2ltr version of the 2.2 / 2.4 transit engine
The 2.0 diesel was developed with PSA and is found in Pugs, citreons, fords, volvos and those jags. I had a lot of bother with one in a 307.
I would go for a Signum with one of the V6 lumps. My X Type v6 was a money pit, the build quality leaves a lot to be desired!
All Siggy's were built in Germany so no issues with build quality with them. A well looked after well modded Siggy always turns heads as they are not a common motor.
If you're gonna get a family runabout aswell, then scooby. Otherwise it'd have to be a jag, the scoobys are too loud and uncomfortably to be day-to-day cars, soon get on nerves. As a weekend toy - brilliant!
Jag = Money pit!
signums to much like my vec mate fancy a total change
