    Default Let there be heat(ing)

My blower has been getting slower and slower recently in the car. It was squeaking like a mad man also so I assumed it was an issue with casing touching slowing it down.

So took it all apart, cleaned and mollygreased it all and refitted… And it was all just the same… I checked the resistor and switches which were all fine.

Then this week it virtually stopped all together… On full blower setting on the screen vents I was getting a very slight blow of warm air. Similar in power to that of a nats fart…! Not good considering it’s been -3 or lower for the last few days…

So bought a second hand unit from ebay and fitted it last night… And it’s all sorted… Toasty warm! (thanks for the guide on how to do this on the site!)

Cost me £55 for the motor delivered and I got a spare resistor with it which I think I will just sell on now…!

I love cheap car motoring which is what my Vectra’s are to me. I’m never scared to have a stab at fixing it myself as it’s fairly cheap to do so…
