225/45/18 but alot use the same as yiu mate
You can go 235/40 18 also
@BigWilko u get my texts mate
Yeah man.
I find 235/40/18's tramline alot more than 225's
may just be me but ive got 235 rear 225 fronts and always feels like the back end gets wobbled around in lorry groves more
I actually like the car to drive where I steer, so definitely prefer the 235...
Anyway, the real concern here is the overall wheel diameter.
235/40/18 is group 2, while 225/40/18 is group 1.
If you car was originally equipped with 215/50/17, for instance, they it's group 2 and you shoud go for the 235/40/18. If you prefer to mount 225/40/18, they you'll have to program the car with the Tech2 to setup the new wheels size.
Of course, if you were equipped with group 1 tyres form factory, the opposite applies.

First off, 225 40 18 is not a standard tyre fitment so can void your car insurance. Second are they the right load rating for your car, again if incorrect will void your insurance?
Third they don't look right on the Vectra, way too small under the arches
If you have a tyre place that you use and trust ask them, they should be the experts?
Oh yes it is.
225/40/18 - group 1
235/40/18 - group 2
Even 225/45/18 - group 2 (though a whopping 1/2 inch larger in diameter). I was puzzled, but it is official.
