engine management light is on, came on while driving

not the one with the spanner but the one bottom right of the dash.

came on yesterday while driving and is still on now but the car drives ok. does seem a little down on power at times but not always.

any idea what it is likely to be, ive done nothing to the car recently so it's not down to that.

i dont have a code reader, well i do but it doesnt work on my car for some reason.

yes it has sadly got a stupid dfp, and yes it is on constantly.

the dpf was removed and thoroughly cleaned a few months ago to sort the last problem with it

after the light came on yday i did do about 20 mins of motorway driving with it in 3rd or 4th gear depending on speed to try and sort it if it was another issue with the ridiculous dpf.

the dpf will be coming off later in the year tho, ridiculous idea fitting them imo.

Do you think it could be trying to do a regen but then again if you hsve had probs b4 u would know what the car would be like when trying to do one
