Just had the info come up on the screen that the front offside parking light bulb has gone. Is this easy to replace? Any advice would be welcome. 1.8 Design spec 06 reg if that makes any difference. Thanks.

I've just done mine "again" its needs a little effort but it can be done. Is a little tight. Whereabouts are you based?
Have a look and see if you can access the relevant cap behind the side light, undo it anticlockwise and the bulb is at the bottom, just pull it off then disconnect it. I have the cdti 150 and I easily changed both bulbs (i have slender hands though) and I think you have more room in the 1.8 engine bay, could be wrong. otherwise you might have to take airbox off.
Either airbox removed (as previously mentioned) or bumper partially off and headlight out.
Both take approx the same time. Having previously used both methods, I prefer the bumper off way as I scratched the back of my hands to hell when I went via the airbox route as there are lots of brackets and the like waiting to cut you.
Thanks for the advice, I'll give your method a try as it seems the easiest at this stage. I'm not good enough to try other methods such as removing air boxes or front bumpers. The irony from my point of view is that I never use the parking lights I just want the screen warnings to stop and the bulb warning showing on the dash to disappear. In reply to another post I'm based in North Tyneside. Would Halfords do this bulb change or would it take too much time for what they charge?
