Default Flywheel on the way out :(

Hi our flywheel is on the way out - dilemma.. do we replace and keep the car , or sell the car cheap with that problem in mind?

The dilemma is , if we get another car we know you cant guarantee anything major wont go wrong with it, or get the work done on a 54 plate?? I have only had 1 quote so far at £1000 incl VAT!!

    decisions decisions

I think some people on here have had their DMF's and clutches supplied and fitted for quite a bit less than you have been quoted there. Definatley worth shopping around. I think Mr Clutch and A1 Clutches are reasonably cheap and have branches in a few different locations.

Parts (Clutch kit and DMF) come to about £590 on Euro Car Parts. Use discount code "aoccom25" for 25% off that. Works out about £450 for the parts. Then just labour for a mechanic to fit

    OR...

Someones taking you for a ride, most you should pay is £650. If you cannot get it done locally then its worth a drive up to A1 at Tipton near Birmingham, you can drop it off and go into Birmingham on the train for the day. Come back and its all done plus you have new things you got in the Bullring!
