I've just bought the square fiat gasket to fit to mine when my new inlet is fitted! So I'm hoping it does save the inlet getting screwed!

First chance I get to get it remapped I want the egr mapped out anyway

As I think it's all the crap the egr let's into the inlet that's broken mine and destroyed the swirl flaps, I'm very keen to get mine gone lol inlets aren't cheap!

If you are going to do that then fully blank it.

IMO there is no use putting the FIAT gaskets on, it doesn't stop the cack going through, which is the problem.

It doesnt stop the crap going through but it does speed it up and help vaporise oil mist.

After fitting one to my car the egr does get soot on it but not a great deal and its not oily.

So if you cant afford to map it out and dont want a warning light on then yes its worth fitting one.
