Limp Mode

Driving home 160 miles today towing a caravan, when into limp mode three times in the first 25 miles of my journey then cleared

For the remaining 135 miles it drove fine.

Any ideas what caused this?

It's a 1.9 CDTI 150

Could be any one of hundreds of potential issues. Need to see what codes are stored.

Not had chance to get the codes read yet.

Just to add, The limp mode happened while I was in a traffic jam, stop start for a number of miles, I did notice the temperature go up to over 90, would this cause the issue?

The temp would not normally cause this unless a component is failing under the heat.

oh no .... not AGAIN ... had this replaced September 2012, 6,500 miles ago (although this was in my thoughts)

Might be worth asking it off and having a look If it is just gunned up clean it with carb cleaner its an easy enough job to do like
