Default Driver doorcard removal Vx Signum

    Hi guys

My window stopped working today and it freely moves up and down by hand.
I'm guessing its dropped off the runner but need to get in to have a look. I've removed all the screws and popped the clips off but it's refusing to come off. I can see a number of metal clips across the top of the doorcard but can't workout how to get them off.
I do have a couple of pics i can post if u think it will help.
Can anyone help before it starts raining lol.

    Thanks

    Matt

For VECTRA, the sequence (driver's side) remove switch and disconnect, remove grab handle cover and remove 2 screws then remove 3 screws along lower edge of card. Prise away the lower part of the card (you will hear clips snapping out). when the card seems to be hanging free, lift upwards to unhook from top edge. Then you have to disconnect the lock operating cable before you can pull the card right away.

My window electric winder had come apart - one of the operating arms the spot weld had come away. Had to get a replacement (s/h) complete unit - about £30. Involves removing about 6 rivets and then new rivets for the replacement.

That's awesome thanks. Had read other write ups relating to this and that mentioned removing speaker housings and other bits and tweeter covers to find more screws. Have butchered both of these now with no need.
Its the unhooking from the top edge I am struggling with. Will have another look when I get home, although with about half hour of light left I doubt there is much I will get done.
welding and rivoting sounds a bit technical for me but am always happy to give it a go.

Does anyone know if the parts are the same on both veccy and siggy for the electric window arms etc

    thanks again

Oh and I also have another issue developed where the inside door handle won't open the door. Presume a clip has dropped off somewhere but its just added to the hassle lol. Not fun clambering across to the passenger side to get out everytime

I also had a lot of trouble unhooking the top. Check you have pulled all the press studs.
Tape up the glass with tape over the door to keep it closed whilst you wait for the parts.
