oil change 2.2dti

im wanting to do an oil change on my 04 2.2dti. found the oil filter location. under the car there is a tray, i know it has 2 flaps, for access to the fogs, is there one for the sump or do i have to take off the whole thing. im sure id read somewhere there is a service hatch

Yes, there's a hatch secured by 5 bayonet-type screws. Undo them all and the tray drops down hinged at the front. Wiggle the hinge free to remove once the back end has dropped down far enough. Refitting is reverse of removal but make sure all 5 screws pop into place or they come undone.

and its up to you but when i had mine i just left it off didnt make much difference and saves losing the screws
