    Default Rad mounts

    had car on four poster today to cure this annoying rattle at front which sounded like drop links, i checked prised barred swung on everything put rubber lube on all joints took car for a 6 mile drive still the kin same,so while under the bonnet i sprayed the mounts as some one suggested with lube back out for another drive only went about 100 yards and hey presto utter silence RESULT,so who every suggested it a big THANKYOU from me

    Got any photos of where to spray? I think that's What my noise is when I go over speed bumps as it gets a lot less when the engines warm? Makes no sense to me!!

    But I couldn't see the spring mounts anywhere on mine!

    hi mate not sure how to up load photos,,but lift bonnet look under slam panel and u will see top of radiator follow along to edge of radiator and there some mounts they look simalar to the airbox housing mounts spray these with wd40 or sim i then rub some vaseline over top..if u still struggle pm ur number and i will talk u through it,,,HTH big tee

    Thanks mate ill have a good hunt tomorrow in daylight! Where's the best place to access them from? It's tight in that area on a 1.9 cdti lol

    Just literally look between the rad & slam panel, you won't miss them.

    or come to me & il do em for you lol. I was over the moon when I fixed mine!

    u need to be stood in front of car looking down under the s/panel as if your going to change a h/light bulb and they are there they arent a spring there more of a rubber mounting mines a 1.8 vvt so should be same
