    Default Steering rack arms?????

Took the vectra for test yesterday which it passed but the tester said there's a small amount of play in the rack
So I thought to myself have i imagined it or can you change the steering rack arms or is it a complete rack change to cure it. Now it dos tend to wander slightly at the front but it went back on the tracking ramps before the mot garage and was absolutely bang allround so am I dreaming lol

You can change them bud they are called the inner tie rods and the arms are part of that. You need a special tool iirc but it isn't particularly hard I am led to believe.

I'm not saying you are wrong, I'm just curious, but why would you need a 4 wheel alignment done after just doing the track rod ends?

Appreciate that, totally agree, but thought you were suggesting that all 4 wheels would need aligned, no?

I had my tracking done 3 weeks ago then week later changed inner tie rod and track rod end... Went to do tracking again and he had to do 4 wheels.... Again place I use I only pay £30 for it so can't complain

Don't need a special tool can be done with stilsons/ f type

and it'll be ok with just a front wheel alignment after having them done. But no harm in having all 4 checked.

is good idea to change track rod ends at same time.
