    Default Bsr remap options

I've had a BSR remap on the car virtualy since I've had her,4 or 5 years. Consumptions allways been poor, averaging 22mpg rnd town and 28mpg on a run.Performance has been enjoyable. Smooth power,a kick in the back around 2.5 k revs and generally definatly worth the smiles per gallon..

I get approx 130 miles outa £30 worth of sainsburys super. Occassional £30 worth of vpower seems to up the smoothness and maybe mpg.

However...what could I do to increase the mpg?..A less heavy foot would help but that kinda defeats the idea methinks.

I assume you have a 2.0T; if so I can tell you the 2.0T just loves a BSR remap. I would also recommend treating the engine to Tesco Momentum Super unleaded to get even more bang for your bucks.

Remapped CDTI 150 comes close with tremendous torque, and uses 50% less fuel, but is not as nice to drive.

Thats a shame, you can pick up nice vectra cdti quite cheap these days. For £10 i can get 80miles out of it, and for heavy right footers, i guessing £10 to 60miles. Vectra VXR are bargain price as well but its high running cost.

Personally being on stage 3 BSR I ignore all those mpg figures.. drive like your arse on on fire and when the little orange light says 'I need juice daddy!' feed it with another squirt of Tesco Momentum
