rear brake bulbs

hi guys i always get the bulb blown indicator on and its always one of the rear break lights,i know there are two for the lights ,i have changed them ,cleaned the contacts and the daft indicator keeps coming on,its really peeing me of even though its a simple task

Are the lights definitely lighting up evenly on either side? The Vec will use a tail light if one of the brake bulbs has blown

Mine sometimes says I have the right rear brake light blown but everytime I check it it's fine and it only comes up 2 drives out of 10!!

I just clear it and carry on lol

Just press the ok button (which'll be either the button on the end of the wiper stalk, or the centre button on the stereo/left hand scroll wheel on the steering wheel - depending on age of the car)

i got a brake light out i didn't think it was out as it was using the tail light instead but after using a bar to keep the brake peddle down while i check i noticed one of my bulbs was not working so now off to get new bulbs

Under normal working conditions the brake lights use the upper tail lights.

If the upper tail/brake light fails, then the lower tail light takes over the role of tail/brake light instead.

aint got a ok button or trip comp ??? any other way to clear it ?

whats the part called that holds the bulbs as i think i need new ones of those as they lok a bit tatty
