    Default Would Moisture in Headlights fail an mot test

    Hi Guys, I have moisture in one of my headlights, would this make it fail an mot test when i have it done.

    And how would i go about getting the moisture out

    Might not get to the root of the problem, but to dry it out for an MOT the simplest option is probably to take the bulb covers off the back and blow warm air from a hairdryer into it. Problem is, at this time of year the air outside still has a lot of moisture in it, so you may well end up with a little condensation reforming as the light cools down.

    Do this but on a cold icey night or morning, nice dry air then

    It'll only fail if it distorts the beam.

    Will fail if it affects headlight beam pattern, Or reduces light output.

    Take the headlight out, Dry it out and re-seal it
