also would it be worth a gas conversion?if so how much you think this will cost and will it make alot of difference on milage
A Gas conversion wont do anything for the MPG, but it will save you money at the pumps, trouble is with the outlay im guessing you'd need to do a lot of miles to recoup the costs.
a gas conversion is quite cheap now isent it so maybe i need to look into this as the car alone has only done 19000 miles and maybe iff im running around on gas it might be alot cheaper?
Whats the mpg on the bc at the moment?
dont no as i get the car in on moday bud all i no its done 19,000 k
A decent LPG install will cost you in excess of £1000. Anything cheaper and you'll probably find it wont work all that well, and the installer although qualified to install, wont be able to certificate it - which you need in order to re-register the car and qualify for the drop in road tax.
LPG varies in price wherever you go. Back in November when i sold my Vec with LPG, going rate was around 75p PL. Lots of considerations to take into account. Nearest LPG station, servicing, size of tank etc... Do a search on here, there are a few threads which give all the pro's and con's of LPG.
As an idea, mine cost £1250 to install and i recouped that in 9 months!
what so what kind of milage do you get on the lpg
Mate I think Vauxhall means crap mpg!!!
I have a 10 plate cdti insignia 160 not the ecoflex.
It does mostly short trips about 5 miles to work.
I average 35 mpg, on a run like today 26 miles on the motorway about 45 mpg.
My old vec c gsi did 24mpg which wasn't bad.
I'm thinking of changing it for a vxr.
